## questions about the test

### is the writing aura test free?

Yes. There's no account, no email and nothing to pay.

### does anyone see what I type?

No. The test runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent to us. If you decide to keep your courier, your three answers come with you into sign-up, and your first letter only goes out when you send it.

### how does it work?

It reads the shape of your writing rather than what it says: how long your sentences run, where you pause, which small words you lean on, how you end a thought. That's nine dimensions, and then it finds which of the twelve writers you're closest to. It's the same engine the Kindredly app uses.

### what does my writing look like?

Your card shows it: which of the twelve writers you are, the habits she can already quote, nine bars for the nine things she reads, and one line naming the classic writer whose sentences move most like yours. You can save it for stories or posts.

### which famous writer do I write like?

The test sets your three answers against sixteen classic writers who wrote in English, Spanish or Chinese, from Song-dynasty China to the twentieth century. It checks four things: whether your sentences run long or short, pause a lot or flow, ask questions or tell, and close or trail off. Each combination belongs to exactly one of them, so the same answers always get the same name. It's about rhythm, not character: a match of cadence, not a verdict on your writing.

### why only three questions?

Three short answers are enough for a first read. Some of the nine things come clear straight away; the rest come clear the more you write, which is what happens if you keep her.

### can I compare with a friend?

Yes. After your result, tap “compare with a friend” and send the link. When they take the test, they'll see how alike the two of you write. The link carries your result and your scores, never your words.

### what's the bird?

Your courier. She hatches from what you wrote, and on Kindredly she carries your letters to strangers who write like you.
